"Inspiring Movement Through Dance"

How can we inspire our students to move with confidence, to express themselves through dance and to simply begin to move more throughout the day? We know that movement is a powerful learning tool and impacts positively on behaviour and yet Dance is often the Arts Ed strand given the least attention in our schools. Why? Teachers are looking for guidance and confidence with the curriculum and instruction. This Boot Camp for educators will get you moving, talking, sharing and creating – come prepared to delve in and learn by doing.

Monday April 2nd, 2012, North Battleford, Don Ross - Upper Mezzanine 9:00am – 3:00pm
- with Ashley Johnson, dancer in residence
Focus for the day will be on:

  •     Creative dance, choreography and the Arts Ed curriculum
  •     How to assess dance
  •     Brain Dance and regulating behaviour

The survey link to register for the boot camp is:  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LSKYPDREGISTRATION
